Challenge

Create platforms that allow Cantor to enter the spread betting and the financial fixed odds (FFO) markets.

Architect a profitable, working platform that allowed spread betting across multiple sports.

Architect a financial fixed odds betting platform allowing currency and index movements across minute, hour and day markets to be invested in.

Our approach

Research existing competitors, work with internal POs, interview stakeholders and users to evaluate the markets and best use cases.

We worked jointly on the spread betting and FFO currency and index betting solutions. We prototyped and tested a working version with a test bed of investors and partners. We leveraged Cantor’s teams, experience and data to ensure the results adhered to required governance, were desirable to play and gave fair results, whilst still being profitable and easy to manage.

Outcomes

We produced prototypes for the Cantor Index and FFO platforms for the development teams to deliver efficiently. This ensured that there were no expensive changes required during the delivery process.

The FFO platform was designed to work across international currencies and indexes and ran 5-minute, hourly and daily markets in real-time.

The systems were integrated with Cantor’s in-house real-time market data feeds.

Benefits

Cantor Index launched very successfully and profitably and is still running today.

FFO launched and was instantly popular, being licensed to a number of other financial organisations.
